Unrepairable Database Error
It all began with Synchronize Folder acting up: specifically, either just showing only the images already in the folder and thus never ungraying the Import All or not showing any images whatsoever (canceling out is the only option left). OK, decided to try Verify Catalog or Session and got Database check FAILED. Run repair. Database repair OK. Run Verify to be sure. Database check OK. Absolutely no change in abnormal behavior described above in Synchronize Folder (specifically, just showing images already in folder even though it admits there are three new ones on the Synchronize page). Repeat Verify, etc. sequence exactly with same results, i.e. looks like db is fixed. But, no joy. It thus appears that even though Repair thinks it has done its job and Verify agrees, something is still wrong. Any help is appreciated; BTW a sort of workaround is just to Import Images and select the ones needed - not good if there are many new images.

OK, other posts re the Sync Folder problem and the workaround works. That just leaves the database anomaly which, simply put, is replicated by Verify Catalog or Session. Cap closes and reports a Database Failed. Yet, if one runs Verify, it gives a thumbs up. (Verify doesn't report that it found or fixed anything) 0 -
Hi
I had a very similar problem - drove me nuts. In the end I solved (my) problem by deleting the xmp files that seemed to be associated with the files in a folder within the catalog. That particular folder was causing CO to freeze when I navigated to it within CO - other folders were fine. Once I deleted the files I lost the edits but the catalog became usable again.
Hope this helps0
