Possible Bug in import folder month names in german version
Good evening,
just testing out the 10.2 trial (in the wake of Adobe’s mandatory subscription) and will pretty certainly get a license soon since I really like it so far!
However in the german translation I can’t get the month names to turn out right. I’m trying to create the following structure:
http://temp.animaux.de/c1bug.png
e.g.
However the second half of the Month-Number—Space—Month-Name part always returns only the first letter of the month name. No matter if I select Bild Monat (MMM), Bild Monat (MMMM) or Bild Monat (MMMMM).
In the prefs it looks like everything is set right. Is this possibly a problem with the translation or does this turn out the same in english?
I can work around this by manually renaming folders afterwards, however it’s still annoying.
Is anyone able to reproduce this? Thanks for any hints.

try "Bild Monat (MMMM)
this works here as expected.0 -
Thanks. That did not work straight away. However after inserting some text inbetween and getting rid of it afterwards it did work. Though only with lowercase month names, which is not common in german. It seems the naming logic IS a bit buggy but can be tricked into doing what it should … 0 -

Is it possible you had some accidentally inserted spaces in the month name?
I saw that once in a situation for which I can't remember the origin. But only once and it looked like something I had introduced without noticing so I did not investigate any further.

Thanks Grant. I wouldn’t know how a space could be inside the month-name itself. I have an intentional space between nr. and name. Possibly the UI mixes things up here. 0 -

Try underscore of something other than space to see if anything changes?
I always use a character. Spaces get compressed in viewers or are impossible to "count". Much better to use something visible in my opinion.
I have to say I'm also not really sure how you benefit from the effective duplication of month using both number and name in a folder structure. Is it to get the sort order correct for the name? Also maybe using multiple applications perhaps?
