Accidently deleted / uninstalled Caputre on Mac!
If I've accidentally deleted Capture from my Mac what process do I need to go through to get it back? Can I download it and re-install it again. If so do I need the Original Product Key?
Is there any procedure for re-installing it if I have lost my product key?
If anyone can help that would be great.
Thanks.

You can download it and install it again. Because deleting the application folder does not remove the activation you'll probably even don't need to re-activate it again. If this is necessary however, just activate.
Assuming you're on CO 4 or 5, go the the Phase One download page, select the archive page and download the latest version (4.8.3 or 5.2.1).0 -
Cheers for that, I am on 4.8.3
I've actually done it on a works computer so was kind on panicking about telling my bosses in case I needed to buy it again out of my own pocket.
Somehow I think I've selected the Capture Application while putting something else in the bin and then emptied the bin to make some space and now I can't find Capture.
That's why I asked about needing to Product Key, I'm trying to sort it myself to avoid asking for help and enduring the chew and ear bashing from my boss!0 -
Your boss probably never need to know as I expect the solution is simple. 😁
On the other hand the Capture One world has evolved quite a few miles with CO6. And if you're on CO Pro, your boss might even be eligible for a free upgrade to CO Pro 5 (to narrow the gap). You (or your boss) can check that yourself if you login to the Phase One site with the credentials that activated the product key in the first place (which need not the same as you logged in with).0 -
Again, thank you for the advice Paul.
Even if I have to tell him it sounds like a recoverable situation. I just feared the worst that I would have to purchase it again but if that's not the case then even his moaning at my clumsy error is not so bad.
Unfortunately I wouldn't know the details of the original installation as it would have been done on his account and not mine, so would have to ask him for a hand on that front I think. 😕
Cheers though, it's put my mind at rest a little!0 -

First download and install 4.8.3. This will probably run just fine without any login. Then you could start talking about upgrading... 😉0
