How to process a pic that's part color and part B&W?

I can make the picture look how I want it to look, but when I process it, it only processes in full color or in full B&W. Am I missing something? Thank you so much!

    Maybe you can provide more details about your workflow. The image should process into a TIFF or JPEG with ALL your adjustments, even if it is part color and part B&W.

    Thank you. I was working in Capture One 6 (not pro) and have since upgraded to pro. I'm going to see if that solves the problem. A friend of my husband told him that's what it was.
