User Styles

I have made a user style and saved it in Sony Pro8.
When I try to apply this style to a catalog or library photo the display jumps to another photo in the collection at random. It will not accept the style.
I also have Express 7 and the style works perfectly!
I have tried the style in Pro8 - same result the collection jumps around to a random photo in the collection.
Any ideas and also how do I edit a user style?

    I created a new style in Pro8 and I've applied it without any issues, to dozens of images.

    To edit it, I think one would apply it to an image, then change the settings, and then save it and overwrite the original.

    I had the same problem with v7. It appears inside collections/albums or if filtering is applied. It also has to do if the style is self generated.
    Some time ago I raised a support case on this but Phase One told that this is not considerd a major problem. Seems it has found it's way to v8.

    Workaroaund for me is to apply styles only in a folder view and without filters.

    My guess would be a bad internal reference in the database somewhere.

    I would suggest a test using a completely new and small catalog/database to see if the suggestion has any basis in fact. (Small for speed and convenience rather than because small may work where large does not.)

    If you still have the problem then there is a fundamental issue to diagnose. If not then the problem would seem to have a specific cause that needs to be isolated.
