Sluggish C1Pro GUI performance while processing images
Since I upgraded to C1Pro v6.0.1 - 64bit it seems that there is a change in the way C1 is prioritizing between its tasks while processing images. Previously it was no problem working in the GUI while processing a batch of images, ie. the GUI response was snappy and seemed unaffected by the processing that took place in the background. Now, however, its is rather tiresom to wait for the GUI to do its things while images are processed.
The computer has lots of disk space, an Intel Core i7-Q720 with 14GB or RAM, running 64bit Win7pro. No changes were made to either hw config or operating system 'between' the situations. No other applications are running when these observations are made.
Window's Task Manager indicates that there are three processes that deals with C1; CaptureOne.exe, CaptureProcess.exe *32, and ImgCoreProcess.exe. The latter seems to suck up most CPU-power during image processing, while the other two are nearly inactive. The CaptureProcess.exe *32 process runs with higher than normal priority, while the other two runs with normal.
Could it be that the priority assigned to the image processing process/thread inadvertently have been raised during the last sw upgrade? Is there a config-file or similar somewhere that allows me to reduce the prioroty to lower than normal??
Or, is there another explanation?
Regards,
Turi

I should not be bothered by the process prioritization, in particular for a process that is not using any process cycles.
For your information, CO Pro 4 and 5 have the same process prioritization as what you described for CO Pro 6. The CaptureProcess.exe process is involved in tethered capturing.
The cause must be something else, of which I do not have a clue yet. Maybe you can ask support for their opinion by opening a case.0 -
For what it's worth, I'm seeing an overall sluggishness to C1 v6 compared to v5. It's substantially slower on my system. 0
