Dust Spotting Not Working

I'm following the directions...
There is a white spec of dust on a black dress
Click on it with the dust tool selected
Nothing Happens..

    Michael,
    The term "Dust" refers to dust on the sensor or filter. These small particles would appear dark and blotchy on an image, as the physical dust would be blocking light from the sensor. This is what the tool is designed to handle.
    In your case, the photographed piece of dust is white on black which is the opposite of what the tool is meant to handle. We hope to provide a "Spot" tool in the future that would work in a similar manner. This tool is one that would better serve your needs.
