    You perhaps run the program as CO DB, or CO Pro (for Sony) trial. You can check this in Capture One menu > About.

    You should run as CO Pro 8 trial. Select that option when you start the program.

    Also, to be sure, make sure you're working with raw files. I believe some operations are available only for raw files (but Paul or someone else may be able to confirm/deny that).

    Good tip. By default, unless changed in preferences, you can edit tiff/jpeg/png with Pro and Express versions, not with DB.

    The OP stated he was using RAW, most probably Canon. That brings me to another tip: the newest Canon models may not be supported yet, like the 7D mk2, but they are not visible either.

    I always shoot in raw, and i have checked that it is capture one pro 8 not DB, trying to uninstall and re-install and that is not working either... not having any luck unfortunately.
