It won't let me edit the photos
Hi
I have downloaded the trial of capture one pro 8. I have created a new session and followed the tutorial. Uploaded the photos and placed the rated ones into a smart album, however it will not let me edit any of the images.
The white balance has "grey" in orange and the mode it set to "shot" (which is in grey) and can not be changed. I click on other functions and nothing happens
I shoot in RAW so i can't understand why i can not edit them. I can edit them without a problem on the canon digital photo professional.
Could really use some help.

You perhaps run the program as CO DB, or CO Pro (for Sony) trial. You can check this in Capture One menu > About.
You should run as CO Pro 8 trial. Select that option when you start the program.0 -
Also, to be sure, make sure you're working with raw files. I believe some operations are available only for raw files (but Paul or someone else may be able to confirm/deny that). 0 -

Good tip. By default, unless changed in preferences, you can edit tiff/jpeg/png with Pro and Express versions, not with DB.
The OP stated he was using RAW, most probably Canon. That brings me to another tip: the newest Canon models may not be supported yet, like the 7D mk2, but they are not visible either.0 -
I always shoot in raw, and i have checked that it is capture one pro 8 not DB, trying to uninstall and re-install and that is not working either... not having any luck unfortunately. 0 -
I reinstalled it and it is now working. Thanks for all the advise 0
