4.x Why no shrink below 'FIT' size ?! (need to be like 3.x)
*With reference to a software feature request for 4.x 💡
In Capture One 4.6, We would like to see the image in the separate 'preview window' be able to shrink below the 'Fit' size so it can be made smaller in the window (As in Capture One pro 3.7.9 ) This helps with several catalogue photography applications and helps with client viewing.
** Please give us space round our images ** they don't always have to be filling the screen!
PS would be great if our 5D MK II worked tethered as well.
Thank you
Simon

Does shrinking the second Viewer window help? You could resize it and even create gray areas left and right during resize.
Tethering with the latest Canons will be available later (no time estimation) according to reports on the forum. Of course you can capture with Canon software and use the hot folder option in Capture One as a workaround.0 -
Re. Bring back ability to shrink smaller image in preview window, rather than just the 'Fit' button.
Why have this useful funtion in 3.x and not in 4.x ???? I have used it for 9 years.
Hopefully someone else agrees with me ?
Fingers crossed they bring it back.0 -
This feature was helpfull to some.
Some photographers like it small. 😉
I would also love to be able to resize thumbnails in the viewer to. It's sometimes difficult to deselect to no image selected when using small thumbnails.0 -
I definitely agree with you. I have been forced to shrink down my main window, or increase the size of the thumbnails to force it smaller. There was something so nice about having the border around the image to help you and the client visualise it at print size.
One of many changes in the new software that don't make real-world sense.0 -
i'd also prefer to be able to view images smaller than the window size. 0 -
I agree with the need to reduce preview sizes (as exists in C03) without having to shrink the view window. I do a lot of images that get reproduced on the web and I need to be able to view the images at web size to determine what adjustments are appropriate at that size. 0 -
Thanks for the positive responces....lets hope they listen and take note of how great C.3 is and that they need to keep pushing towards that.
Back to basics - we are photographers !! not repro colour specialists.
PS.
Great point about viewing images same size as would be shown on the web.

BRING IT BACK::
I am more and more frustrated..
As said before -we are photographers, assistants and digital techs.. and we did work for years with a brilliant system everybody was happy with. So why did you change so many things without thinking about a second???0
