Import from Aperture in 9.3 problem/question

I haven't any experience with importing from Aperture, but only from Lightroom. And what is clear is that you can't expect the adjustments and settings performed in Aperture to be imported in Capture One. The reason is obvious : the algorithms are not the same, and, as a consequence, the values of the settings realized in one of the applications have no meaning for the other, except some basic adjustments which can be understood from both applications, such as crop an exposure for instance, because they are related with absolute values (pixels are the same for both applications, and exposure as well : 1 IL is 1 IL). But contrast, clarity, sharpening, B&W, etc... can't be transferred.

Thanks for your reply, I do understand your point about algorithms.

Right at the beginning of importing an Aperture Library, Capture One pops up a window saying:
"When importing a library from Aperture, the following properties will be
    transferred into Capture One:
    Projects, Folders, Albums
    Crop OR Straighten, Rotation, Flip
Exposure, Brightness, Highlights & Shadows, Definition, Saturation, B&W
    Metadata(IPTC, Rating,Colour"

Indeed I have tested all these and it seems to be true. But contrast is not imported as you say.
By the way, I seem to get Crop AND Rotation, not Crop OR Rotation. I'm happy with that!

    further postscript:

Actually, when importing from a Lightroom catalog, the contrast setting is imported. Can someone explain why contrast is imported from Lightroom, but not from Aperture?
