Critical bug in C1 5.1 makes Vista crash completely
Hi.
Can someone confirm this? I wanted to try the new 64 bit tethered shooting feature in 5.1.
Plugin the Firewire
Open the Live Preview
C1 hangs now.
Plug out the firewire cable from the camera
Your computer instantly restarts (You see a blue screen for a half second)

Addendom: It doesn't work at all. When you click Capture in C1, it doesn't work (the red LED on the back is now completely on) When you close C1, Vista crashes completely instantly.
So its still unusable ☹️
My computer:
Dual Xeon (8 Cores)
Vista Ultimate 64
48 GB Ram0 -
Problem might be due to firewire driver in Vista x64 and > 4 GB RAM. This is the case in Windows 7 x64, not sure about Vista. 0 -
Yes it is, but I thought Phase One had fixed it with the newest 5.1 release, because in the Change log it says: Fixed issue with tethered capture on 64-bit versions of Windows if the computer has 4GB or more installed memory.
I just wonder which "issue" they have fixed, since it still does not work at all 😂0 -
Christian,
Create a support case and we'll look into it.
The "red LED on the back is now completely on" may indicate something other than a software conflict.0
