Best Mac Pro configuration for Capture 1 8
I am using Capture 1 8.0.1 on my MacBook Pro and Yosemite without significant issues.
I am planning on purchasing a Mac Pro and eventually a 4k monitor. Is there any recommendation on the best configuration of the Mac Pro to use Capture 1, i.e., does it use the multi cores effectively and what is the best number, best graphic card etc. Typically I have 400 or so photos in a catalogue and use several catalogues. I don't want long rendering times etc.
I suspect I will get a flurry of conflicting advice but any direction is appreciated.
Ells.

I have Mac Pro 3.7GHz quad-core, 32GB RAM, Dual AMD FirePro D300 GPUs 2GB and + 512GB storage - Capture One 8 works great. Fast import, 700 RAW files (Nikon D4+D800) converts to JPG for 7-8 minutes, layer masks drawing - without delay. 0 -
I've got the same, anything more powerful seems a bit overkill, everything works without delay. 0 -
Many thanks. That is what I needed.
