Corrupted Catalog File :: Again.

    Look for any hidden files in the same location with the same filename as your catalog file. This is the "scratch" disk that is normally deleted when Media Pro closes. If it doesn't close properly the invisible file remains and prevents the catalog opening.

    Otherwise this may work, it's from the old days of iView:

    Launch Media Pro, use 'Open' from the 'File' menu. Before pressing the 'Open' button, hold down the 'alt' or 'option' key, keep it held while pressing the 'Open' button and until the catalog either opens or reports an error.

    We have fixed a cause of the problem that was a fault in the application. The same thing could be caused by a hardware fault or an interruption in power for the computer, for example. We will continue to make Media Pro as reliable as possible but you should always have a backup strategy.

    Good luck.
