Deleted images still referenced in Sessions
I have deleted some images in my session, and they are gone from my selected folder and album, but they are still present in my "All images" smart album.
When i try to move them to trash from the smart album i get an error, saying that the image does not exist. Which i know, since i deleted them. But how do remove it from the session ?
I deleted the files from within C1P, so i am not sure what has gone wrong. But i have repaired the database, and now i just want to remove the "references" in the smart album. But i do not know how to do that, other than using the "Move to trash" option, which now does not work.
Any tips?

Are you actually deleting the images? If you add images to an album, the album is just a virtual collection. If you delete an image in, say, the Selects folder, it is deleted (moved to the session trash). But if you delete it in the album, it just removes it from the album, but doesn't remove it from the Selects folder, or wherever it was.

I mark my "rejected photos" with the red color tag. That way they are easy to select when i want to remove them from the session completely. After they have been tagged, i go to the "selected folder", select all the files marked "red".
I then choose the "move to trash" option. And after that i right click on the Trash folder and choose "Empty trash".
I have done this A LOT of times, and it usually works just fine. But this time it seemed to "forget" to remove the references in C1P. It deleted the physical files, but not the reference in C1P. And now it seems to be confused that the files do not exist, and will not remove the references.......
Mind you, i can only see these "unreferenced images" when i use an smart album, not when using a regular album!?!0 -

What you describe is how it works by design. When you delete images in a session, they are moved to the session's Trash Folder. All session folders (Capture, Select, Output, and Trash) are search for by smart albums. As a result, you still see trashed images in the All Images smart album.
Once you empty the Trash Folder, they will be gone, including gone in the All Images smart album of your session.0 -

But he is saying that he has emptied the trash folder and these still show up in the All Images folder. I actually had something similar happen to me this week.

@Paul - I know that is how it works. But once i empty the trashcan, i am pretty sure that the files are supposed to be gone....
This has been my workflow for the last year, so my bet would be a 8.3.3. "feature".
I have deleting errors in sessions also. After i do the same procedure, and delete the album, exit C1P and open it again.
The deleted folder reappears, with the images deleted i get a folder full of question marks.
I have logged the error with support, along with a movie, and i am hoping to hear from them sometime soon.....

This is confusing me.
I have
- a session
- 6 captured images in the 'Capture Folder'
- a smart album showing 5 of the 6 images
- 10 deleted images in the session 'Trash Folder'
but
- the 10 images in the 'Trash Folder' don't show up in the smart album (the smart filter would allow it)
- the 10 images in the 'Trash Folder' don't show up in 'All Images'
That's exactly how I would expect it.
And this is not how it is supposed to be?
