Exporting to Photoshop CC - Problem?
I've just updated to Capture One 9.3 and when exporting an image to Photoshop as a .jpg it want's to open the image within the Photoshop RAW editor frist.
This also happens if I export images to a specific folder and then open them with Photoshop CC.
I don't recall this happening before the update.
I've re-checked all of my export setting and they're correct (not been changed) and the images in question are being exported using the Adobe (1998) ICC profile.
Are you having the same 'problem'?

Just exported a JPEG to be opened within PS, and it opened normally..
Only way you can open files in ACR is by using the Open As command [ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+O]?0 -
I think this may be due to a setting in Photoshop, rather than in Capture One.
I don't know if it's the same in CC, but in CS6 in Adobe's Camera Raw Preferences there is a section for JPEG and TIFF handling.
In CS6 this has 3 settings for JPEG:
Disable JPEG support
Automatically open JPEGs with settings
Automatically open all supported JPEGs
If it is set to "Automatically open all supported JPEGs" then opening a JPEG in Photoshop from another application causes it to open in Adobe Camera RAW.
If I set it to one of the other settings, then JPEGs are opened directly in Photoshop.

Richard,
Thank you for pointing me the right way.
I went into Edit>Preferences>Camera Raw and changed the section under 'JPEG & TIFF Handling' to 'Disable...'
Problem now solved.
Thanks again, it's very much appreciated... 😊

ok, so. I'm editing some files shot with a Sony A7R2 and did an export of 3 files to JPEG to auto open in CC.
1st file opened fine.
2nd file opened in ACR
3rd file opened fine (after cancelling the ACR)
tried opening the 2nd file again, opened in ACR - ended up opening as (selecting JPEG)
just popped into RAW prefs and disabled JPEG support to stop it happening again.0
