Clarity default option?
Is there an option to change the default setting for Clarity from Punch to either Classic or Neutral?

Yes, with CO7 you now can save your own default settings for many tools. Click on the tool's small triangle at the right in the title bar. 0 -
Hi Paul,
I have this issue it it might be very simple but I don't know how to go around it. I have the CaptureOne 6 and Capture One 7 installed in trial mode but I have noticed that Capture One 7 image preview cannot be as clear as the Capture One 6. It looks like if it has a white foggy layer over it. What can this be? Help please.0 -
To create a nice preview image (end result), you may have to reduce the default size of the "preview" file to 1024 (used to be the default of Capture One 6). After this you have to recreate your preview files (from the menu)

I'm getting more and more to like the clarity tool.
However, I want to get back to the original question here. Perhaps there's something fundamental I don't understand.
To have the clarity tool always start at Neutral instead of Punch, I do this:
- Change Clarity to Neutral (from Punch)
- Click on the tool's small triangle and choose Save as defaults for ...
But when I change selection to the next image the clarity is back to "punch".
I would have expected it to be at Neutral since I had set that as default.0 -

Defaults are applied on new images, that is when first opened.
You can apply a new default on existing images as well from the action menu you mentioned.0 -
Ah! I see. Not obvious.
So it will work next time I import new images into the folder. 😊
Thanks.
