Naming images

I often name images after adjustments from their imported name. I click on the name in the browser view under the image, and often despite it being highlighted it will not select, leaving me typing a title with no result. I don’t know why this happens but it bugs me having to click several times to get the title highlighted, am I missing a trick here??
