imgcoresocket error

Was running CO4 Pro just fine (PC-XP Pro, 4gig RAM). I upgraded to sp3 which I had held off and installed .NET 3.5. After install of CO5 Pro, it loads fime, but will not watermark or process files normally. The imgsocket error, invalid argument supplied message pops up. When I shut CO5 Pro down, it pops up again. HELP! Any suggestions?

    there is also Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1, is it what you have 3.5SP1 ? ... I 'd deinstall all .NET frameworks and reinstall them again, just in case...
