Camera Profiles - Installation

Gentlemen,
I have just re-installed CO and I do not remember how to install my Magne Nielsen camera profiles.
Can someone please help?
Do I need to rename them?
Where should I place them?

    Profiles as from Magne Nilsen, or home made profiles, can be used with CO4. However, they don’t show up as expected like they did with CO3.x. This is for two reasons. First, CO4 has its own profile folder and second, CO4 has its own naming schema for profiles. Both constraints are easily met with the instructions below.

    First, rename the file according to naming conventions used by CO4. In short, the file name must start with the camera model name as CO4 uses for its own profile for the camera. For example, for the Canon 5D it starts with CanonEOS5D- and for the Leica M8 with LeicaM8-. Don’t forget the dash! Tip: save a copy of the renamed profiles because you will need it again when re-installing or updating the program.

    Next, copy the profile files to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Phase One\Capture One 4\Color Profiles\DSLR. Restart CO4 and the profile(s) show up behind the camera name in the ICC Profile list.

    can anyone help i followed the instructions about naming and placing the profile but it is still not showing up????? I am using windows vista. Does that matter? The only way I can get a new profile in the list is if I create a new one inside capture one. I am trying to transfer my old profile form 3.7 into 4.6.

    With Windows Vista and CO 4.x the placement and renaming of 3rd party profiles are the same as with Windows XP. If you are not succesful can you perhaps show us a profile name and describe the location you stored it?

    I think it must be "CanonEOS5D-Final" instead of "CanonEos5D-Final"

    You messed it up with lower case in 'Eos'. See the example I made in an earlier post: CanonEOS5D-. Like in the original profile of CO4. I am always surprised that for some people upper and lower case are same character. But that's my nerd being 😉
