Crashing when changing file names manually

Newly installed Capture One Pro 3.7.3 on 10.4.7 G5 crashed after successfully editing the name on 5 or 6 files. Then proceeded quickly to crashing after ever file. It seems to happen upon deletion of characters in the file name.

Any idea's?
