Skipping file during import
Any ideas?

What kind of RAW files have you successfully worked with? If they came from Phase One digital backs and you used Capture One's DB run mode, you need to switch to Pro or Pro for Sony mode (and use the trial or pay the corresponding licence) to access Sony RAW files. 0 -
Been using Capture one for over a year and all of a sudden, SOME of my Sony ARWs say "skipping file during import". I can see the image on the first part of the import but when I select it to do the final step for editing, I get that message. Have tried everything including a new upgrade to version 20, which is also confusing because I clicked on something that said "Capture One Express (for Sony)" which sounds like the free version that would now be on the Sony camera literature I'm guessing.
--correction. Now, oddly, none of the ARWs are loading. JPGs work fine.

Duplicate files with the same name already in the catalog?
Some unsupported in camera setting?
Express is the free version and has functional restrictions compared to the full Pro or "For Sony" versions.

No dups exist.
No changes to camera settings in the same photoshoot.
Express, less function, is fine. Just need to be able to edit my sony compressed raws.
I uninstalled v11 and then installed Express. No change in outcome.

I have tried Capture1 on an off over the last 6 years. Older versions did not work on my PC but last year, I installed version 12 to give it another try and it was working fine until recently. Today, after more than a year since last use, the application is not opening all my Sony files. It shows the files when I fist open the folder be imported/added to my library but then I see the count go down as if the software is reviewing and deciding not to include some of the files. I thought it probably was not able to open files on my newest Sony camera, the a6100 but, I see it is able to open most of the files. About 30% of the files are not being imported/added to the catalog. I downloaded and installed version 21 and it seems to have fixed that issue.
