Try deleting the Phase One preference files. I've been having just repeated cycles of crashing upon launching C1 on Yosemite (or tethering Canon 5D3) and deleting the prefs have been the only thing that seems to help.

I had this problem because of an issue in an existing catalog and C1 kept crashing when it tried loading the catalog. Nothing would solve it for me until I deleted the catalog. The next time C1 loaded properly.

I don't know if this is you issue but you might try re-naming the catalog to see if it helps.

Try starting CO without opening the last sessions/ catalogs.
Just keep the 'alt' key pressed when clicking and loading CO. CO will show the 'Recents' dialog.
If it starts well, CO is OK, start debugging your sessions / catalogs.

    Hans,

Well, live and learn! I did not know that using the Alt key would stop CO from trying to open the previous catalog/session and I had to rename that catalog (in my case) so that CO could not find it when it opened.

Yours is a much better solution. Thanks for posting.

    Credits to Paul Steunebrink. 😊
I learned it from one of his posts.

Deleted all Preference files, all catalogs, downloaded C1 again and again, held Option key and still crashes.

Is it a Yosemite thing? Can Phase One fix this? It was working fine until a few days ago.

Seems like too much of a hassle, if even possible to run an older OS once upgraded to Yosemite. Any other ideas?

I held Option and once the Recents box shows, no matter what I do, it crashes again.

Ah finally got it by deleting the com.phaseone files. For some reason Library wasn't showing up at all so had to go to the Home options. Sorry about all the complaining. Thanks!
