You could use windows explorer to navigate to where your session file is stored, then double click on it, and C1 will open with that session.

Thank you, Karen - that's what I am forced to do now.

The real beauty would be in this:

Holding the Shift key down (or another key) while you clicked the C1 icon should open a list with all your sessions (sorted as prefered) - just like the Recent Session window does now (unfortunately second after Windows) - and you could choose the session you wanted to be ready in C1. AND! of course.. the selection of a session from the "Session window" should NOT send you back to Windows to click a .col50 file in the file system - as it works now.
So, Shift-click icon + select a session from the list + Enter - and C1 should open your Chosen Session with images from the Caption folder loaded. Windows should NOT be visible in the foreground at all.

It was Drew himself that halfways described the Shift + launch combination in another thread, but he might be busy with important error handling.

Drew wrote this in the tread Missing Capture One Sessionfile .col50++ : In that case it would seem your Preference file isn't looking in the right spot for the new session.
When you launch Capture One hold down SHIFT and select the new session.

What is the gain with this key-combination, Shift + launch C1, when "selecting the new session" does nothing else but open a window to the file system?

Please read the first post about what happens in Win 7.

I did not introduce the combination Shift + launch C1 - Drew did!
I just want an explanation. What is the gain?
