Can't automatically delete files from SD after import?

Capture 1 Pro (for Sony) version 12.1, build 12.1.0.106

So what happened.... I used to be able to check the box at the bottom of the import window to automatically delete files from my SD card after import into Capture 1. Now the box appears grayed out and is not clickable. The SD card is not write protected and I can delete files in Explorer.... just not in Capture 1. What changed?

    I don't use C1 for import (I use Downloader Pro), but I personally would NEVER delete image files from a memory card until they have been backed-up in at least two places first.

    I do periodic backups of my entire system so I am not too paranoid. Plus, the photos in question are not THAT precious to me. If they were I would do the same thing... make sure they are safe before deleting them from the SD card.

    Begs the question though..... why does this no longer work?
