Moving folders in Catalogue and retaining keywords

So I use two main drives for all of my work [commissioned, personal, films etc]. I have a drive for the current year [2016] and then a Work Archive folder for all previous years.

I use Catalogue to reference all of my work. I pull in the reference folders. So for example -

Work
-Commissions
--Feb 2016 - British Airways
---RAW files/FinishedImages/Finished Ads

I have this same folder structure in my Catalogue and then I keyword everything like what format it was shot on and the location, county et al

My question is -

When I move those folders from my working hard drive to my work archive folder then I will get the exclamation mark because the folder is missing. I then can right click and 'locate' the folder.

That's all fine but the folders stay in my work folder and don't move to my work archive folder

I could just import the folders into my work archived folder but then I won't have all the keywords that I have individually put on each image.

Any way to set this up so it moves into the work archived folder with the keywords attached?
