Images won't sort (7.0.1)
I am using C1 v 7.0.1 as a trial. I can't seem to change the sort order of images (for instance by date, name, rating, etc). Whether I use the toolbar button as I used to in version 6, or the menu, the order of the images doesn't change at all. I'm working in sessions.
Is there a feature I'm overlooking or should I put in a support case?

Edited to add - this seems to be cured temporarily by switching to manual sorting, and dragging any one image to another position in the order. After doing that, sorting by date, name, rating etc works again - but only until C1 is closed. It stops again next time the application is opened.

Actually, this still doesn't seem to work. I have raised a support case. 0 -
I am having the same sort issue. I imported my images from a card into capture folder. I am renaming them and then I try to sort by date but the sort goes all whacky and many of the tumbnails do not show an image. Very disappointing! C1P is one buggy program. 0 -

Support suggested that I create a new session and move files into that using Finder. They do sort OK then. They also asked me to then send them the old session db file to look at and I am waiting to hear back about that. (The images that weren't sorting for me were in a version 6 session that was opened (and therefore converted) in version 7.) If your images were similarly in an old session opened in the new version you might try the same. If you copy over not just the image files themselves but also the sub folders that C1 creates in the session folder, your adjustments will be moved to the new session too.

Had the same sorting issue today after renaming files. I closed out of C1, reopened and BOOM; they wouldn't sort at all. Well, they would but in a random way and thumbnails were missing. I just created a new session and moved the files over and so far, so good - it's at least sorting. 0 -
Actually, as far as I am concerned, the problem is double in that not only the sort command doesn't work as most of you have explained, very often the sort drop-down menu won't appear at all, unless I restart the application several times.... very annoying! This of course happens with version 7.0.1, same as in version 7

I haven't had the sort drop-down not appearing. But have you tried creating a new session and moving your pictures to it?
