Images not importing right

I've just tried to import 40 images into a new Session in C1 12. I use Photo Mechanic 6 for the import and have had no trouble doing this in the past. The pictures are there in my Capture Folder but when I click on one to open it remains pixelated like the computer hasn't fully digested it. As well C1 doesn't recognize that it is an image as there's no histogram or levels information. This is only in C1. Bridge and Photo Mechanic 6 see these images fine.

If I go back to an older Session folder the images in there are fine as well.

I've tried re-importing files a couple of times, going right back to uploading the Canon cr2 files from the memory card. I also uploaded and installed the most current version of C1 12.1.3.2


Any suggestions?

    What happens if you open up CO, and then drag one of the images from Bridge into the open CO window?

    I do this a lot when I want to just open a few of the images in a folder. CO opens up the import function for the dragged image. I use a catalog, not a session.

    I finally had some success. C1 was importing the images but wasn't making previews. Then it did and all was well. My problem is "Why the hell not?" I mean why did C1 decide NOT to make the previews? Verry strange.

    There might be something in the log files that could help to identify what was going on.
