Barring any uncalibrated point in your workflow, and outside of the color scientists at Phase One revisiting the input profile for that camera, you can alter it to your eyes' liking already. This blog post outlines how to do so:

C1 processes my D850 images with correct colors. Something else must be going on. Possibly Windows color management settings.

Nope, more likely just a different idea of "correct" - there have been umpteen complaints on here over the last few years about way overly red/orange default profiles, and Phase One's oft-repeated "fix" - that we sort their awful profiles out ourselves - is deeply unsatisfactory.

I'd suggest that users pay for (and God knows, with Capture One they surely pay) for usable profiles out of the box...

I've used both Lightroom and C1 for many years. C1 used to consistently produce colors I found more accurate than Lightroom, but Lightroom steadily improved in that regard. Now with Lightroom's latest revision of camera profiles I find little to choose from (colorwise) between the two. So in my view, if you don't like C1's camera profiles you won't like Lightroom's either.

Now should one have an incorrect profile selected in Windows Color Management settings some really inaccurate colors can be produced by color managed applications that utilize the Windows profile for display. Ask me how I know. 😄

oh boy, i did not realize how bad the generic d850 profile really was, until i created an ICC profile with colourchecker and lumariver for some critical reproduction work. esp. blue/green and red/orange are main issue araes.... the default one is still usable for everyday use though....
