Fibonacci Spiral on the crop tool
Is there a way to rotate the Fibonacci Spiral when using it on the crop tool?

Have a look at the Preferences settings. 0 -

If interested I discussed the Fibonacci Spiral with preference settings here:

I guess I should have been more specific. I was hoping that there was a way to rotate the spiral without having to go back to the preferences each time. Going back to preferences each time is just a little clumsy while editing a large number of images. I guess I could put a request in for something along the lines of key command that could rotate and mirror while using the tool.
Thanks for the help, Paul!0 -
You're welcome.
By the way, I agree with the time-consuming route to the preferences to handle the spiral. I assume you are aware of the shortest route to the preferences section at hand:
- with the crop tool as the active cursor; right-click on the image to open the floating cursor tool; click on the three dots in the tool (top right corner); select Preferences.
Still a lot of clicks, but the easiest I know so far.0 -
Can't you use the straighten tool first? 0 -
I suppose the feature request would make sense.
As another workaround, couldn't you rotate the image first (1st click) apply the crop along the Fibonacci lines (2nd click) and then rotate back (3rd click). Rotation with the Rotate Variant button (round arrow left and right) at the top toolbar (add them if they're not there yet.
Not sure whether this accomplishes what you want, but seems to be the least amount of clicks and you won't have to go to preferences each time.0
