updating a catalog after work

How to make sure catalog/browser is updated/synchronized.
First of all I am a new user of Phase One. When editing a picture I might use a third party software to do additional work. Once I save the final work I notice I do not see it in the catalog in the side bar/browser. Is there a way to make sure that the updated picture is shown. Is there a synchronize button that needs to be clicked.

  Hi Rick,
  
  the 'official' way is to start the external editor from within C1 using the "Edit With" menu. You'll get a dialog where you can select the application you want, and C1 then prepares a copy for you to edit, right next to the original item. It will be part of the catalog and be updated when you finish editing it.
  
  When you edit an image outside of C1, it does not know that you've changed something all by itself. You have to tell it: you need to let C1 'sync' the folder in which the edited image is.

  Hi Peter
  This is what I thought also. I did the edit with, the copy was in the browse the third party opened with the picture for me to edit. I did an edit and save. The save file was the same as the copy in the browser but nothing changed i the picture in Capture one. Not sure why maybe the software is not compatible with Capture one. I guess I have to play with it some more. Thanks again
