Capture One Color / Photoshop CS
Hello.
I have just purchased C1pro software and am having a problem with the color.
When I process a picture and open it up in Photoshop CS the color is way off as opposed to the picture in the preview window of C1. I'm not exactly new to all of
this and have gone through every possible scenario in my little ol head. Including searches in the forum. None of this has helped yet.
I downloaded the 30day trial period of this software and when using it then it
worked like a charm.
I have no idea what's up.
Does anyone know where the softproof setting is in C1? - supposely "the rainbow looking icon in the top menu bar next to the B&W preview"
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
Image > Proof Profile > and the default is Selected Destination
Therefore, you should have a Destination chosen at he Process Tool with the desired color space.
Otherwise you need to be sure All Color Management setting are using the same color space.
Be sure Monitor Profile is set correctly too.
Photoshop > View > Proof Setup > of course needs to be set to the same color space so you can compare Apples to Apples

Thanks
I did do all of this... except.
You said " Be sure the monitor profile is set correctly too" Is there something
I don't know about this. A setting somewhere concerning a monitor profile?
It is a Lacie 22blueIV monitor and it is calibrated and has a current monitor profile. Should I place this profile somewhere. I'm confused.
The rest of what you said makes sense.
Thanks again,

Dave,
I would open your colorsync utility and make sure your monitor and proper profile are listed under Devices>Displays and if you are running two monitors make sure the proper one is set as the default.
