Renaming Bug issue

I am a long time capture one user on Mac and PC. I have used several versions on both computers and there seems to be a major issue when renaming files on a PC. After you shoot several shots or just one and you want to rename he file whether you hit F2 or click the file name it immediately kicks you out of renaming and you have to hit F2 again. This problem does not happen on Macs. I can rename files so fast on a old MacBook Air and then go to a 12 core i7 Windows machine and this happens. So basically if I have ten files all with unique names it’s a pain to use the arrow keys and rename fast with F2 since it kicks you back out of the file box and you have to wait and hit F2 again after you rename the previous image.

    Have you tried 'batch rename'?

    Batch rename is impossible to use when each image has an unique file name. Also some clients like to use A B C etc at the end of file names instead of numbers. Granted I never have over 10 or so of those so no worries on running out of letters. But batch rename can’t do letters

    Right, maybe a feature request to put through.

    Back to the issue, I don't get 'kicked out' when I click the file name or hit F2, but I do understand the frustration on the moment you have to wait to move to the next variant.

    Are you shooting tethered? I forgot to say this only happens when shooting tethered. So if you are take like three shots then rename each one and after you rename go and select the next image to rename then immediately select the box where the name is

    Has anyone had time to check this bug out? One way to make it happen is to delete several images then select an image and hit F2 to rename. It will always kick you back out of renaming
