Adding a style to only a layer

You can apply a preset/style by right-click on the layer and then selecting “Apply from presetâ€. Doesn’t seem to work for black&white presets.

For technical reasons the B&W tool is not currently Layer enabled. The alternative available is to desaturate.

Or, for B&W images, use the Background as per all previous processing.

    Hi,

is the right-click / apply from preset working for you? I doesn't for me with the sample pack I downloaded. I got a message saying grain won't be applied; fine with me. I can see the curve being modified on the layer I apply the style to; the color balance tool is modified as well. But no impact on the preview or the image exported.

It does work when I apply the same style on the background

    Am I missing something?

Yes I was... putting it on a layer means I have to fill the mask first!!

Unless you then paint the layer afterwards ...
