C1 4.8.3 and C1 5 Pro demo quit, quit, quit
C1 4.8.3 licensed and C1 5 Pro demo constantly quit.
I tried every possible solutions, deleting .plist, pref, proxies, unistalling, re-installing.
It di qui under Leopard, it quit under Snow Leopard.
Every other possible apps in my Mac work flawlessly. LR2.5 never quit once in 2 years.
Raw Dev : the same.
CS3 : No problem whatsoevern even under SL.
What's up ?

If u send a crash report to Phase One when Capture One quits and include your email, most of the time Phase One will reply ith useful info.
Also check the topic "5.0 known issues" at top of the list...0 -
I've sent report each time it quits : at least 6 or 7 of them.
Never had a reply.
Problem was already there with C1/4, as said in title.
When using LR 2.5 or Aperture, it simply never quits.0 -
Johan,
Create a support case and send us a System Profile of your machine. We may have a few suggestions for you to help clean up the system and get the ball rolling.0 -
Wow what can I say. 5.0 is horrible. Lets not even get started on the customer support (our IT guy was on hold 2 hours)
We have brand spankin new 2 day old 8 core Mac Pros and decided to upgrade to 5.0. What a mistake. At this rate I will be sending crash reports to Phase One 100 times a day. This software is currently unusable.
Thank goodness I had Lightroom and Canon Capture as backups. Will check out Aperture as well. Otherwise I'd have a creative/marketing team looking through my 1Ds MKIII LCD.0 -
I've been trying out the demo version of 5. It worked well in the beginning, but as the files build up it hangs and crashes. It doesn't like switching views from one fold to another or moving files around.
Current configuration is a 5D tethered to a MacPro Quad Core Xeon; 10GB RAM, 10.5.8.0 -
I was having the same problem/
I've try to upgrade the logitech thing but , not working.
Than I upgrade mac osx to snow and made an upgrade to 10.6.2, and now!!! It's WORKING!
But it still need 20 minutes to rename 1343 pictures (that's stupid!!) and I have to do it twice to have the name that I want (A6254lowette.jpeg) pfffff... 40 MINUTES!!! (not pro!)
good luck

James,
I assure you that no one was on hold for two hours. If your IT guy has a support case please have him catch up on it as all cases have been responded to, I hope Johan can back me up on that as we are currently working to get him fixed up. If you are sending Crash reports that often, clearly something is amiss in your system and we would be happy to help you define this through a support case. If you submit your e-mail with the crash reports you have a better chance of getting a response as anonymity makes it difficult to follow up.0 -
OMG! Is there anyway that PhaseOne could restore some confident in us.
I almost purchase V5 pro for an upgrade. Have it (demo) downloaded, but no guts to install it looking at the way it's going - not even for free!

Again, check out the new topic at the top of the board called "known issues". these are official Phase One comments and workarounds. Otherwise make sure to include your email when sending crash reports. 0 -
I was having constant immediate shutdown issues. I discovered that some of my files in the session were corrupted. They only appear corrupted in Bridge in Photoshop not in C1. I know this sounds strange but this solved that issue once I removed the files.
I hope this helps.0
