Feature request: Year/Month/Day folder structure
I saw this in another posting, but it seemed a bit buried, so I wanted to create a posting specifically for this:
I would really appreciate the ability to import photos into a Year/Month/Day folder structure based on the photo date (not the import date).
Thanks,
Gene

Gene,
You should probably put your request into a Support Case so that you voice will be sure to be counted when the development team are planning what to include and when.
Remember that this is really just a User to User forum and as such has informal support from some of the Phase crew. That's fine of course and may eventually deliver what you want but you stand a better chance of getting is as part of a formal request through a Support Case.
That said the Token naming system introduced in the 8.2 release does seem to offer that capability although I have yet to test it. (Unless there is a difference between Mac and Windows - I'm on Windows.)

Version 8.2 can do this. I use the tokens: Image Year (yyyy), Image Month (MM), Image Day of Month (dd), but there are others too.0 -

Further to my previous post and to confirm this one, I tested it importing to a session using a card holding a wide range of shooting dates and it worked very well indeed.
HTH.

This doesn't work for me reliably. There seems to be a bug where the export function does not respect the pattern established with the date tokens as described here. See my other post.
