Two catalog questions
I switched to CO about a year ago. I imported everything into a managed catalog. I am since regretting that decision because the program crawls when I open my catalog.
Is there a way to convert from a managed catalog to a referenced catalog?
The only way I can see is to export everything as Originals with edits and then reimport them.
Second question. If I move to a reference catalog and the RAW files are on a hard drive but CO and the catalogdb is on an SSD will that speed things up? Or do both the RAW files and the catalogdb have to be on an SSD?

Hi,
Yes, I think the best way to proceed is to export everything as Originals with edits and then reimport them.
And yes, it is better to have the RAW files on an external disk, but Capture One and the referenced catalog on the internal SSD. Capture One needs to access the RAW file only for specific adjustments on an image, and it doesn't take so much time. Even an external HDD works well for the originals.0
