Capture One interface acts very much to standard conventions with regard to selecting (click, Shift+click, Cmd+click) and dragging. From you post I do not understand what you are trying to achieve.

You can delete images, either by moving to Trash folder (and empty that later) or permanently. See File menu for options and shortcuts.

Thank you very much for getting back to me on these topics, Paul. Do you have a system on this forum for adding Screen shots/grabs to the post? It would make it easier to show what I mean when dragging to select multiple images.
Thanks for the info on changing my Forum User name. I do command delete an image, which is then removed but leaves a blank screen. The next consecutive image is highlighted but will not come up on the viewer when clicked. To get this image I have to click the image to the right, which brings that image up. Then I have to switch back.

If I understand you correctly, Paul, I need to command click every image in order to select a batch of photos. So if I need to select 150 photos out of 200 photo file I need to Command click each one. Is this correct? I'm using an older Mac with a 2.4 GHz intel core 2 Duo processor. Is this the reason why the photos take so long to import? It is much, much faster importing with A3 using the same computer. And command-clickng in CO7 is also a very slow process too. Please tell me there is a faster way of selecting a group of images.

Just to sum up...In A3 I can select a group of images by dragging. So in a few seconds I can select the 150 photos I mentioned above. However, with CO7, each individual image has to be command clicked. I hope I'm making myself a bit clearer on the subject, Paul.

You can select contiguous images by shift clicking. For example if you have 5 images in a row that need to be selected, click on the first one and then shift clicking on the last one will select all 5.

Hey Steven, this is good news, thank you. Is there a system for selecting a series of groups in the browser? E.g. shift click 5 images then shift click more groups of images?

As far as I can tell you can shift click as many as you would like. In my example 5 was an arbitrary number. As far as selecting a series of groups (eg. select 5, skip 4, select another 6), the fastest way I can find is to select all 15 by shift clicking and then cmd+clicking the one's you don't want selected to deselect those. FWIW, LR is the same way.

However, in today's import I had forgotten to format the card and had 50 images I didn't want to import. Does CO7 have a way of dealing with this?

In the import dialog, once the thumbnails of the images on the card have come up, you can choose the sort order as either name or date. If you sort them in date order, it is comparatively quick to select just the new ones by clicking the first, then shift-clicking the last. Or is that not new information on top of what everyone else has said?
