Nikon Z7 Support
Does anyone know when Capture one will support the new Nikon Z7?

Like always when a new camera gets out: in a future release after Phase One is having a Z7 and Z6 for their development ready. Phase One will not tell you when this will be the case. 0 -

I understand that, but am eagerly awaiting this. My Trichro is undergoing a repair [cracked screen], won't have an IQ4 for a while, leaving me with my D850, Z7, and an interesting Lumix G9 to do some comparisons. Not being able to include the Z7 RAW file in C1 is a bit frustrating. Not horribly so; just eagerly so.0 -
Come on Guys. Bought myself a great Nikon Z7 extra camera next to my 850 and 800e.
Without Capture one it feels like a worthless camera in my camera bag.
Can’t remember it took you so long with previous camera’s to build a new camera profile.

Yes, you can, but the results aren't great - a bit flat with muted colours. You can apply the Nikon D850 profile, but it needs more work afterwards with the colour editor.0 -

Just watched Matt Granger's Field Tested review of the Z7. You may know he is a big CaptureOne supporter. All the processing of Z7 images in the review was done in C1. File types in the video were DNG, so I assume he used the Adobe DNG converter to get them into C1. 0 -
Another option, as we wait for C1 support: use Nikon's Capture NX-D to open the folder with Z7 NEFs, select one image and set the picture control to Neutral, then do a File - Batch export with 'use current adjustments' to create 16 bit TIFFs and import those into C1. Just be prepared to use a *lot* of disk space, the TIFFs are about 273MB each...

Yeah - that's a lot of disk space, and when C1 supports the NEF you'll probably delete them. A more practical option is just to use Lightroom. Sure, it sucks, but you can sort and rate your pictures, delete bad ones, do a bit of editing etc without chewing up whole disk farms,0
