... So far so good but a newbie question :

Is CO8's RAW conversion revised when 'Edit with' Photoshop? It's converted into a TIF so I guess not, but I ask in ignorance. Similarly whether editing a CO8 image in Perfect Photo Suite 9 changes anything fundamental.

No. When CO "sends" a file to another tool with 'Edit with', it actually renders the raw file according to the recipe and outputs a pixel format, TIFF in your example.

If you choose 'Open with' it actually "sends" the raw file unedited.

....Thanks HCS 😊 I thought that would be the case but wanted it confirmed for peace of mind.

I don't anticipate doing this but if, after importing a RAW file from a card/camera into CO8 and having set that import to 'Auto adjust', would 'Open with' then open the RAW file in its original state before the CO8 import or including those auto adjustments, please?
