Question for Surface Book C1 users
Hi everyone. I'm a long time Mac User, switching to Windows. I'm trying to figure out the right laptop / tablet for using when shooting tethered. I'm wondering if anyone is using a Surface Book for tethering? And more specifically, whether they are able to detach the tablet screen portion, carry it to the client to show them the picture, and then dock it again to continue shooting? That would seem to be the ideal way to use a surface book with a portrait tethered session, but I'm guessing it's not possible to detach the screen, because the GPU is in used whenever capture one is running.

Seen a few people on here with trouble when using the surface. 0 -
You are correct the surface book will not detach is c1 is open. But it does a great job of editing 0 -
Have you considered Capture Pilot Classic as a possible resource? 0 -
I just detached while editing with no problem. I can continue to edit while detached also.

Thanks for the information everyone. I purchased a Surface Pro tablet PC and have it mounted to my tripod with a magic arm and thethertools tablet cradle device. It's working great.
SFA-I do use Capture Pilot with iPad mini in the studio and have used it in the field as well. But so far am liking the tablet pc as both tethered device and client viewing screen (for the person being photographed, not a marketing/art director person).0
