canon 1ds mark ii tether issues

camera is not tethering to macbook pro with capture one 5.0.2. does not indicate that camera is connected. mac os 10.5.8 and using a usb, firewire 400 and 800. has no problems finding it on mac pro tower. any suggestions?

    Please make sure you are using the software in the PRO mode. If so then only use the Firewire cable (the USB is not for tethering) and it might be a good idea to follow this article;

    And a good troubleshooting tool is Canon EOS utilities, if it tethers to that with the firewire it will tether to Capture One.
