I'm curious, which ones? I meant to refer to the "original rule".

The original 'rule' is not that interesting for the poster. He wants to know if Media Pro is a good choice for him.
Regarding the lack of development i think not.

Are there any published future plans for MediaPro?

Like HCS said: No one that knows will say.

Is there a development road map? Or a White paper? Or...?

No. Communication is not the best 'feature' of PhaseOne...

Or has MediaPro reached the end of life cycle?

    Personaly i think so.

All I can judge is that it is completley outfashioned and far behind the current DAM-state:
important EXIF-fields are missing (e.g. camera model)
EXIF 2.3 (ExifEX) is not supported at all (e.g. lens model, lens serial number etc. are missing)
IPTC Core and IPTC Extension (both available in version 1.1. since 2010) are not supported at all
Instead, deprecated/legacy IPTC-fields are still worked with
Newer standards like PLUS are not available neither
    ...

Yes, this is right for all points!
It's a shame there was no serious development the past years and yet a bigger shame they did not tell us that they would do so.

Are there trustworthy chances that this will Change?

No, there is nothing that is indicating this
Or would it better to evaluate a new DAM-Software?

    Yes, i would

All good answers from my point of view as well.
I was an early buyer, upgrading from Expression Media. I believed the marketing hype and promise.
The package looked like it had a lot of potential to work seamlessly with CO.
But in the end, they did not produce what was promised.

Which is - in essence - rumour-mongering, as is most of the thread.

Which is banned by Rule 2.

    Just sayin'...

I guess I don't see any rumors; just opinions.
And documenting a lack of progress of the software and failure to live up to original promises also doesn't seem like rumor mongering.

A rumour is speculation without foundation, and that's exactly what's going on here.

It seems there is some regret about the progress of MP, rather seemingly lack thereof, which i share.

However, this forum has some rules to prevent speculation, or whatever you'd like to call it. This forum is intended for users to help eachother. That's why i referred to the forum rules, not to be obnoxious.

I apologize if it did come across that way.

The definition of a rumor is ok with me but thats not what's going on here...

The 'foundation' here is the proven history of PhaseOne in this dossier. They do not communicate with us and they take our money but they refuse to deliver.

You can see my earlier postings. I'm always willing to help others with questions and my hope is that i did.
When someone is somewhat more critical towards PhaseOne or MediaPro, i'm answering also at my best knowledge.
I'm just being critical, thats no rumour
