I don't know if somebody makes a statistic.

Open a support case requesting the camera support so they can assess how much interest is in a specific camera. You'll probably get a "thank you" and then look at the release notes once a new release is out.

Is there an average timeframe before C1 supports a new camera RAW format. (Thinking new Fujifilm Pro2 and the two new Nikons.)

Basically when we have had the cameras in-house to develop all the resources for proper, high quality support. When that will happen are up to the vendors of the cameras, but they have been requested.
What can you as a Capture One user do ? Make sure that your favorite camera-brand know that camera-support in Capture One is important to you and your collegues.

Do you need new cameras inhouse?

I've done just that with Olympus, asked them to send you a camera, and they answered

Free translation: RAW-files are avaialble for software vendors, don't need to make contact,
Capture Version 9 can already almost all RAW-files of our cameras, probably it is being worked on the files of the E-M10 Mark II.

We do need the camera's in-house if we are to make proper support.

The files available online from vendors are far from enough to ensure proper and solid support for a given camera.

Does anybody know if Capture One can handle the RAW files from the new Fujifilm XPro 2 ?
I get great results from the XPro 1 using Capture One and would like to benefit from the 24Mb file size of the new camera, but not if I can't use Capture One to process the files.

    Thanks, Angelo

I have ordered the XPro2 and would like support for those raw files as soon as possible.
    Thanks.

I've taken delivery of a new Fujifilm X-E2s and found that Capture One 9 cannot open the RAW files; then again, nether can Adobe, DxO, ACDSee, or any other RAW editors except SilkyPix......... and that application is truly horrific. It's a good job that the Jpegs from Fujifilm cameras are so good.

So Phase One, gee up a bit, 'cos some of us would like to use our shiny new cameras to their full potential, and need a fully working Capture One 9 to do just that. 😊
