Prepare a photo on a larger canvas for external printing
Normally when I'm going to have a photo externally printed in a size of 20x30 cm's, I export it to a JPG file and sent to the printing service. But when I want to do the same with a photo with a non-standard size (i.e. 19x25cm) I have to deliver it with a white border. The only place I could find in C1 able to do this is with the print section and then print it via PDF-formatt as a JPG.
I have two questions regarding this:
Is this indeed in C1 the only way to get JPG's with a white border?
I cannot handle the quality if the JPG here. Is it's quality high enough to get a decent print?
Is there a way to skip the PDF step?
Are there things I have to pay attention to?

Yes, unfortunately there is no way to add white or any other border in C1.
Suggest to export large file size tiff, and add border in any external editor. That is much better workflow then what you just described.0 -
Thanks, i'll try that.
Do you have any suggestions other than photoshop, preferably freeware0 -
Thanks Ian. I'll give it a try. 0
