    I really don't think this could be called a bug. If there is no clipping in the Histogram/the resulting image then there's no way for the program to know where a loss of image-information is occuring.

    If you underexpose an image to "perfect black" it won't be black any more if you change the black levels to a higher value. So even if all the image information is lost due to under- or overexposure, neither you nor the programm will be able to tell where it occurs.

    Pulling the highlights back to below the threshold (or shadows to below the threshold) with any tool will result in the Exposure Warning overlay not appearing in that area. This is a feature of the function- you can and should use the Exposure Warning tool in conjunction with the other tools to keep your highlights and shadows to the desired levels.
