Lab readout?
Is there a way to use a cursor tool in version 11 to show Lab values? All I seem to get so far are RGB values.

Yes, you go to "View" on the top bar of Capture One, and close to the bottom of the menu, you have to choose, in the "Lab readout" field, between "Off" and 6 other options of the Lab scale. 0 -
OK, I enabled a Lab output from the View menu, as you suggested, but now I get blanks for the values when I select a color readout with the cursor. am I using the wrong tool to measure a Lab value somewhere in my image? 0 -
First, you should check that Lab values are displayed above the view when you use the select cursor (arrow to the north west) or the pan (hand) onto your image.
Then, if you want to display the readout in its small window, you have to select the "add colour readout" option in the eyedropper tool, in the main menu of the Capture One window.0 -
AH. I think my problem is selecting a proper Lab readout from the View menu. So far, I keep getting the following error:
(Error 3) Profile Connection Space not supported: profile is not XYZ.
Please refer to the L*a*b* readouts documentation for details.0 -
It seems to me, then, that the space profile used by your system is not correct. The "profile connection space" doesn't depend upon Capture One. 0 -
Error codes are documented in the help site:

Well I'm sorry, but now I'm thoroughly confused. Maybe I should ask the simpler question -- what settings, etc. do I need to have in Capture One if I want to see Lab values for points on an RAW file that i just imported into my catalog? 0 -
I don't clearly understand. You don't need any specific setting, just go to view -> Lab readout, and that's all !! 0 -
Sheesh. I didn't change anything, and now it works!
Thanks for sticking with me on this.
Have a happy holiday.0
