QUICKER IMPORTING CARD IMAGES
Good day to you all..
Been browsing the forum boards thats attention to my topic of issue if it has been discussed before and couldnt find one so I am creating one.
My issue is I shoot onto card far more then I do tethered but having to wait for the import window to load all the thumbnails before I am given the option to import all..
Is there any way I can bypass this and just insert my card and import all the images to my folder destination without having to wait for the all the thumbnails to appear in the import window, as I am gonna see all the thumbnails in my library anyways.
thanks alot..... help appreciated..

My answer is to use a different tool like Photo Mechanic. 0 -
Jacques,
The reason the Import tool takes time is because it is writing the Proxie files and Settings files while the images are transferring from the card to the computer (it can also rename and add Megtadata at this time if you choose). When images are accessed from Capture One, that are already on the machine, Capture One is writing the same files but allows you to use the program in the meantime. This is the main difference between using the Import Tool and just accessing images that are already on the machine.
If you just drag and drop from the CF card to the Capture Folder in Finder, you can use the program while images are copied onto the Hard Drive. This method will likely appear faster.0
