Reading IPTC from .thm

Hi everyone,

I have read a few threads that seem to address this issue yet somehow I haven't managed to find a straight forward answer, but I am sorry if I am making anyone repeat themselves.

I use a DAM to add IPTC information (Categories, captions, etc.) to CRW files from a G2. This of course really adds the information to the relevant .thm buddy file, so as not to touch the raw image data.

Am I right in thinking that C1 cannot read this information? I use the same workflow with NEF files with the difference that the IPTC information is written to the actual RAW file. C1 reads it fine which makes keeping my files in order alot easier. I really hope C1 can do the same with the Canon files.
