Image recovery using previews

No this is not possible, it is not a standard image format but a Capture One own native format.
I suggest you use Sandisk RescuePRO or simular to recover files from CF card. If you have only formated the card it should work fine. If you have shot new images to the card they might be lost.

Thanks for your response. Is there a way to purge these files from C1 or should I just delete them?

    Thanks,

    Bill,

One approach may/may not work for you. It will depend on how quality an image you are after of course. With the Preview image displayed at largest ( F9) you can do a PrintScreen and then paste this ScreenShot image into Photoshop New image document. You can set your image size and resolution and then paste into. From there you can crop and adjust your image. Obviously the smaller print size you're after the more likely chance you'll get away with this Salvage Mission. 😉

    Best of Luck,

    Keith,

Thanks for the salvage idea. I was able to locate the preview image but I was unable to get it to display. Is there a way to display the preview image without having the actual raw image? It would be good to know if a salvage operation is ever required.

It turns out that I did in fact save the images to my hard drive but for some reason C1 did not display images in the folder. I could switch to other folders and the images would display OK, but when I returned back to the folder that actually had the images I was looking for, nothing displayed. I closed C1, then restarted (I did not reboot my computer) C1, went to the folder, and the images displayed OK and in fact are being processed while I write this.

It seems to me that I have had this type of thing happen in the past, I would browse to a folder where I thought there were images I was looking for and they did not display. Sometimes some images displayed but not all of the images in the folder. Is this an issue that you recognize?

I really appreciate your support on this forum.

    Regards,

    Bill
