Leopard Comptability Success
Hello,
Is there any user here that did install osx 10.5 and installed C1Pro 3.7.7 WITH success, and who CAN work as usual?
There's a lot of people complaining but is there people out there with 10.5.x and 3.7.7 working professionally?

Hi Olivier-

I have everything working ok with C1pro 3.7.7 and 10.5.1 on my MacBook Pro. I have been testing it a lot. I have two shoots the next two days on location one where I will be transferring over via CF card. The other I will be shooting tethered with my Phase One back.
I am going for it, I will let you know Thursday if I have a disaster or not.
make sure to read the knowledge base, especially about transferring files via cf cards, it has to be done manually.
I know there is also an issue about shooting tethered with Canon
I do hope we will see an updated C1 soon.0 -
Oliver,
I am unable to use C1 Pro 3.7.7 professionally with 10.5.1, using Canon Cameras tethered. In fact I and many others are having trouble getting capture one to see any imported pictures unless they are manually dragged over from a card reader. Phase one will tell you that c1 4 beta has leopard support, but that's no good if you need to shoot with the Pro's features.
Hopefully you'll have better luck than others trying to get an e.t.a. for a relevant update out of phase one, otherwise it looks like you're going to have to wait for this software company to catch up with a MAJOR, and popular operating system like OSX 10.5 Leopard.
Good luck - and please be patient...("it's not our fault" "whine" "...etc")0 -
thanks for the replies,
I was assuming that there was people out there working properly with 10.5 and 3.7.7
I will probably try a 10.5 setup over the weekend.
I'll keep poeple posted.

Thanks,
I was already aware of the installation workaround,
I was only curious because I know that there is a lot of people complaining or telling the world that they are having issue, but the majority of users don't say Bravo when it works fine.
It was just curiosity.0 -
Well I wasn't aware of any issues, I quickly tested the H25 after upgrading the OS and everything was fine, used it successfully on a shoot and today found myself on set with the Canon. That is another story. Silly me for assuming if the back works the dslr would too.
Phase One folks, what is the problem? Please get this working. Why couldn't you in your weekly propaganda emails alert us to these issues? Your customers deserve better.

Ok, cloned the MBP to an external drive, repartiitioned the drive (you need at least 20G per OS) and now have it bootable in tiger for canon shoots. A pain in the butt but it's all working in case anyone else has had their head in the sand like I did.

Hi-
Easier workaround is to use the canon/dslr software in conjunction.

Possibly but I took one look at the software and knew it would be better for me to reformat. Another thing it is only rated for tiger too, so trying new software under the circumstances seemed stupid. Why make the same mistake twice.
Thanks,
Dave0
